Expanding Our Capabilities in Silvassa - Insta Pack FIBC Research

Key Takeaways

  • Insta Pack was formally established in 2021, building on several years of FIBC export experience through its group company, which exported around 400 metric tons per month as a merchant exporter.
  • Production capacity today is approximately 400 metric tons per month.
  • The facility covers 1 lakh sq. ft. (about 9,300 m²) at Village Kanadi, Naroli, Silvassa, in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
  • The plant is vertically integrated: tape extrusion, weaving, lamination, printing, belt weaving, cutting, stitching, liner production, baling, reprocessing and in-house testing.
  • Next on the roadmap: Type C conductive bags, container liner bags, and BRCGS, Sedex and CROHMIQ® certification.

Every manufacturer has an origin story. Ours begins not on a factory floor but in the export business. Before Insta Pack existed, our group company worked as a merchant exporter of FIBC bags, consistently shipping around 400 metric tons a month to international buyers. It was a valuable education. We learned what overseas customers expect, how they evaluate suppliers and, just as importantly, how different manufacturing plants actually perform when an order is on the line.

In 2021 we took the next step and formally established Insta Pack as a dedicated FIBC manufacturer in Silvassa. Five years on, here is how far our capabilities have come and where we are headed next.

From Merchant Exporter to Manufacturer: Why We Built Our Own Plant

As merchant exporters we depended on other people's factories. When quality or delivery slipped, it was still our name in front of the customer. Building our own facility gave us direct control over the two things our customers value most: consistent quality and on-time delivery. It also let us design the plant the way we wanted from day one, in line with BRC Global Standards.

Our mission has stayed the same throughout: to provide cost-effective solutions for every client requirement while strictly adhering to product quality and delivery schedules.

Why Silvassa?

Silvassa, in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, is an established industrial centre in western India with a strong base of polymer processing and textile units. For an FIBC manufacturer that exports, the location works well:

It is close to the Mumbai–Ahmedabad highway (NH 48), with good road links to raw material suppliers and customers.

It is within practical reach of major west coast ports, such as JNPA (Nhava Sheva) and Hazira, for container shipments.

The region has an experienced industrial workforce, including people familiar with woven sack and FIBC production.

Our facility is located at Survey No. 323/2, Village Kanadi, Naroli, Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu – 396230.

Inside Our 1 Lakh Sq. Ft. Facility

Our plant covers 1 lakh sq. ft. and brings almost the entire FIBC process under one roof. This is the equipment behind our capacity:

Process

Machinery installed

Tape extrusion

1 tape extrusion line (Model LOREX 1400 HS)

Weaving

More than 70 circular looms: 51 × LSL 6, 11 × LSL 620 and 10 × LSL 8

Lamination / coating

1 JPI lamination machine (Model JP 80 CRJ 2200)

Printing

1 JPI 4-colour printing machine

Twisting

1 twisting machine

Lifting belts

4 needle looms

Cutting

4 jumbo fabric cutting machines and 3 belt cutting machines (BCM)

Stitching

80 heavy-duty stitching systems (STITCHING MACHINE)

Liners

1 liner production plant

Baling

4 jumbo bale presses

Reprocessing

1 RP (reprocessing) plant

Having these processes in-house matters to customers in practical ways. We do not wait on outside fabric suppliers, we can adjust a specification quickly, and when something needs checking we can trace it through our own process instead of chasing a third party.

Capacity: 400 Metric Tons a Month

Our group company's export volume of about 400 metric tons a month was our starting benchmark. Today, Insta Pack's production capacity is approximately 400 metric tons per month. That capacity lets us take on large, repeat export programmes while keeping delivery schedules on track.

Quality Infrastructure Grew With Us

Capacity without quality control is just a faster way to make mistakes. Alongside production, we built an in-house laboratory with 5 fabric tensile testing machines, 2 belt tensile testing machines, 2 UV testing machines, 2 conditioning chambers, a jumbo rig machine and 10 electronic weighing scales, all last calibrated in March 2026. We are certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018.

What Our Capabilities Mean for Customers

Customisation: fabric from 50 to 240 gsm, coating from 8 to 60 microns, tube sizes from 300 to 2,200 mm, liners from 15 to 120 microns, colours as required and UV stabilisation on request.

Range: U+2 panel, circular, baffle (Q-bags), net baffle, single loop, two loop, tunnel, box, platen, Juki and UN bags, plus PP woven fabric, PP ground cover, PP woven bags and BOPP bags.

Industries: fertilizers, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, construction, mining, agriculture, food, grain, courier and textiles.

Accountability: one facility, one quality system and one team responsible from granule to bale.

What's Next for Insta Pack

We are not finished building. Our next steps include:

New products: Type C conductive FIBC bags and container liner bags, which we do not manufacture today, are part of our expansion and diversification plans.

Certifications: we are actively working towards BRCGS (BRC Global Standard), Sedex and CROHMIQ® certification, along with other compliance certifications.

Continuous improvement: our vision is to be the most preferred manufacturer and the first choice of our customers, through innovative ideas and continuous product improvement.
